Saturday, March 4, 2023 Over the past week, the All-Ords fell by 0.3%, but that was after recovering most of the lost ground from falling 1.2% last Monday. Since its peak this year in early February, it has fallen 3.7%. Australia's Market On short-to-medium-term trend analysis, the All-Ords index is bearish. Its price momentum, as measured by the MACD oscillator, has been negative for the past three weeks though less so in the last four days. On medium-to-long-term trend analysis, the All-Ords index is bullish. The dark greed Coppock momentum indicator turned up while in negative territory at the end of January 2023 but stalled in February 2023. However, it has now turned up again, reinforcing the view that the bear market has ended. America's Market America’s S&P500 share index last week went bearish on short-to-medium-term trend analysis. Its MACD momentum indicator has been negative for the past three weeks, though less so for the past week. The US share market’s medium-to-long-term trend went bearish in May 2022. The S&P 500 Coppock momentum indicator is negative yet appears to have bottomed. March should decide whether it turns up or continues falling. |
