Market Timing in Australia

Saturday, July 30, 2022

the All-Ords index last week rose 2.3% after rising 3.1% the week before.  The index lost 16.2% between April 21st and June 20th. Since then, it has rebounded by 8.5% ending the previous correction, defined as a fall of over 10%. It is now back within the price channel it meandered between May 2021 and June 2022.

A fortnight ago the US market went bullish on my short-to-medium term trend analysis and last week the Australian market did so too.

On medium-to-long term trend analysis, the American stock market went bearish on the 11th of May for the first time since the February/March 2020 flash crash. The Australian market joined it on June 10th. That has not changed.

RISXX Inc.

The global government bond risk benchmark (GBMR) closed lower at a new low-risk rating of 10%.
The regional bond risk indication for the US, Canada, and Western Europe sunk to a low score of 4%.

Quick info:
A risk level equal to or above 60% indicates a rather high-risk and unfavorable market environment.

The broad global bond risk rating (GBMR) tracks sovereign debt issued by the 21 most important countries (e.g., US Treasury Bonds).
