Australia: This week the local market posted a strong rise in the face of largely negative data, however, the prospect of further interest rate cuts and a rising iron ore price propelled the market to its highest level in 3 months.

America: Despite sagging factory production and slowing consumer spending, the US market posted yet another rise this week after news that US-China trade negotiations are progressing, however, this remains a source of uncertainty going forward as there are still key issues to be resolved.

The Global Bond Market Risk Rating (GBMR) finishes lower at 82% and remains at a high-risk reading. Last week the GBMR reached a high-risk level of 86%.

The Regional Bond Market Risk Rating (RBMR) for Latin America is showing the best performance with an unchanged medium risk reading of 50%. Last week the rating was at 50% (medium risk).

The Global Stock Market Risk Rating (GSMR) increases to a score of 26% and remains at low-risk reading. Last week the GSMR reached a low-risk level of 24%.

The regional stock risk score for the EAFE region (Europe, Australasia, and the Far East), measuring the aggregated potential risk of developed stock markets outside of the US and Canada, is showing the best performance, indicating a low-risk reading of 13%. Last week the score was 10% (low risk).

The Global US Dollar Risk Rating (GUSDR) closes at a new high-risk level. The GUSDR increases to 65%. Last week the GUSDR reached a new medium risk level of 46%.

The Global Gold Risk Rating (GXAUR) finishes lower at a risk score of 31% and changes to a new low-risk level. Last week the GXAUR closed at 44% (new medium risk).
